Always Wait 4 Path: Microscopic cancer cannot be seen or felt; it requires microscopic evaluation by a pathologist. Therefore, while a normal-appearing lymph node is a good start, it is by no means definitive until pathologic evaluation is completed.

Pathology: You need to wait for pathology to know if it is cancer and what type it is.
