18 : The fda recommends breast augmentation after your 18 th birthday . Silicone gel implants are recommended for women 22 or older. However if the reason for the implant is reconstructive, age is not as important of an issue.

Age 4 Breast Surgery: The patient must be at least 18 years old to have surgery. I evaluate each patient to determine if they understand all that is associated with having surgery and potentially needing further surgery, etc. Age is not the determining factor - it is the realistic expectations, medical conditions, etc.. That are important.
