Capsular contracture: You most likely have capsular contracture(hardening of implant capsule) if they do not feel soft by now, or they might be significantly overinflated if saline implants were used. In both cases see your plastic surgeon since you can have them revised if it bothers you.

Healed at 1 year.: Breast augmentation is healed at one year. Best to follow up with your plastic surgeon. Some implants are firmer than others, and of course the amount of breast tissue available before surgery can influence breast softness. If they were softer at three months and have become hard, you may have capsular contrature - tightening of the capsule around the implants. This can be treated.

Probably Not.: The firmness of your breasts will likely not change at this point. It may be that you are experiencing a complication called encapsulation (capsular contracture); this involves thickening of the scar tissue (capsule) around the breast implant. This process can cause the breasts to feel firm or tender, for the breast implants to be displaced, and for patients to have significant discomfort.
