1-2 days: The Amoxicillin can take 1-2 days before feeling the full effect. After a procedure, you can get maximum swelling on day #3. Ice your face down and contact your doctor. Usually your symptoms should start resolving soon.

Usually 20-36 hours: I usually find that within 36 hours the swelling goes down. If the swelling doesnt go down consult your doctor for different antibiotic and if it increases dramatically you may need to go to the emergency room if not their can be serious consequences.

4-6 hours: It will take 4-6 hours for the body to get a loading dose of antibiotics to help the swelling which is a sign of infection.
