Yes, too many: Usually, Amoxicillin is given 3 times a day, not 4 times a day. Call your dentist and ask.

Amoxicillin: Amoxicillin should be used only to treat infection. The regiment treatment should be continued for a minimum of 48 to 72 hours regardless if you are symptoms free. Usual adult dose is 500 mg every 12 hours or 250 mg every 8 hours. Discuss your case with the person best able to effectively help you (your dentist).
