Ice: Ice packs applied to the side of the face immediately following surgery will help reduce the swelling. The soreness can be alleviated with warm salt water rinses, and application of moist heat to the side of the face after the ice packs are discontinued. Follow the postop instructions provided and keep the surgical sites clean.
