Throat swelling after wisdom teeth extraction? how long should it last?

Few days to a week.: As with any surgery, some swelling is typical and expected. Throat swelling may occur due to the streching and cutting of various muscles that are near the surgical sites. Use of cold compresses, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medications may hasten recovery.

Little over a week: It takes 2 weeks for healing of tissue and so after wisdom teeth extraction any discomfort and swelling should get less and less and mostly gone in 2 weeks post op if there is no secondary infection. If swelling stays the same or gets larger please see your dentist asap.
