Anti- inflammatories: It's normal and expected to have done swelling after 3rd molars extraction. Anti inflammatories medication such as ibuprofen combined with strong pain medication is usually prescribed. Application of ice bag on site can bring some relief. However if pain or swelling persist 3-5 days after surgery consult with the doctor that performed the surgery.
