No science to affim: Vitamin d assists in the absorption of calcium for development of strong bones. Seafood, dairy, eggs, whole grains and sunlight are sources for vitamin d. It may also promote serotonin production, a neurotransmitter that increases a sense of well-being. Low serotonin levels are related to mood swings which can result in sugar cravings in some individuals thus the connection to a sweet tooth.
