Help! i like to jog but have bunion foot pain at times. what can i do to continue jogging while alleviating the pain?

Well fitting shoes: Running shoes tat are wide enough to accomodate the size of bunion. More support in form of an insert/orthotic and more controlling shoe may alleviate pressure on joint. See podiatrist.

Varies: It depends in part on the cause of your pain. If it is the bunion itself, you would want to really evauate your shoes to make sure the forefoot is not too narrow and that you are not running in pronation. Some sports stores have machines that can analyze your running mechanics and make recommendations. Anti pronation shoes or orthotics might potentially be needed. Don't hesitate to be seen.

Doughnut pads.: There are doughnut pads , that take the pressure of the bunions. You can usually find them in sports medicine supply stores.
