Depends: Perm teeth take about 3-4 years to develop but if you mean how long should it take for teeth to come in then, after they start to erupt, a few months is likely.

Years: A tooth begins it's life as a tiny toothbud & remains buried in the bone for many years before it erupts into the mouth. Following eruption the roots continue to elongate for many years until it reaches full development.
