Gingivostomatitis: Typically gingivostomatitis is a viral or bacterial infection which may be very painful. You should visit your dentist who may provide you with some palliative suggestions including possibly a gentle cleaning of the area. Usually the condition is self limiting and can last up to two weeks. A proper diagnosis would be helpful for current and future management of this concern.
