Not sure: I've never heard of that. He/she may be referring to a secondary infection that resulted from a cavity but without more information, i'm afraid i can't help.

Never heard or it: Not sure what you mean by decay went into the muscle. You may have meant nerve which would mean root canal but i never heard of decay into muscle.
