Wat are some surgical abortion complications from von willebrand's disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Adam Levy answered

Depends: Usually this desease does not effect the outcome of an abortion since the way the uterus stops bleeding is by contractions, not clotting. However, if there are complications that require further surgery, this could present a very difficult situation for the patient. Fortunately, abortion care is very safe and rarely results in any need for additional surgery. It is the safest sugery bar none.
