5 weeks: Most doctors will recommend waiting to have an abortion until you're 5 weeks confirmed on an ultrasound. If you're earlier then it's possible your doctor will miss the pregnancy and you'll remain pregnant. 5 weeks is where we're more likely to see the gestational sac and confirm that your procedure was complete.
