Sometimes: Depending on the type of insurance you have will determine whether or not it is covered. You should get a pre-determination prior to beginning orthodontic/orthognathic treatment . Also, depending on the procedures needed to fix your class iii will play into whether your medical benefits will kick in as well as your dental coverage.

Depends on your plan: Dental insurance is just like any product that has options. The more that the plan payer pays, the more the plan recipient gets in coverage. You will need to evaluate your insurance details and see what needs to be done about your class lll . Are you interested in orthodontics, have a functionality problem, or just need protection against excessive wear on your teeth? Ask your dentist!

Depends: If your insurance plan has orthodontic coverage then there should be coverage. All insurance plans are different so i would check with them prior to making any treatment decisions.

Only if paid for: If your employer purchased a policy that includes ortho rx for adults you may have partial coverage. Most orthodontic coverage ends at age 18-19. The class of malocclusion has nothing to do with it. Call your hr department or the phone number on the back of you dental card.

Maybe: if your dental insurance covers orthodontics (braces) and if you can find a local orthodontist who accepts your plan, it will be covered. Expect a fairly large co - payment.
