Three types: Dentrist classify malocclusions as type one two or three based on the position of the upper first molar and lower first molar. We also describe people as having an under bite, overbite or a cross bite based on teeth position. A model of teeth is need to show you. I hope this helps.

Endless: Some one suggested 3. This is the old angle classification, which refers to molars only. I can tell you malocclusion's are like fingerprints, no two are exactly the same (at least it seems so after 30 years of treating them). 32 teeth and endless spatial organization of those "elements"= endless.

Malocclusion: Almost any way you can think of-lower jaw too forward, too far back, too far to the side , -teeth that come in sideways, teeth that leane to the left or right or forward or back.
