Pain Management : You could consult a pain management group. Some of the best strategies involve combination of biobehavioral approaches (relaxation, etc), drug therapy and physical medicine. You can find helpful information on www.Theacpa.Org/.

Stress reduction: In my experience, people with chronic migraines benefit from overall stress reduction, of which there are many methods. If you have had them since age 11, was there something that happened then? It would be useful to explore this with a therapist who is also trained in mind-body techniques.

Your body is talking: Migraine is one of the most effective ways the body talks to you. It is telling you to learn how to calm and manage yourself, or it will make you so sick you will wish you had. Learn to listen and appreciate what your body is telling you. Severe migraine with recovery has been occurring for many years. There is nothing wrong with your brain, and there is no quick fix. Learn management.
