Likely eczema: This is an area where the skin can thicken then crack. The main treatment is to treat the area several times a week to prevent the thickening and cracking. There are many ways of doing this including olive oil and many skin care products.

Picture tells story: Your picture shows you wearing glasses. Since the area behind the ears is not exposed, there are not a lot of things that can get back there and cause trauma and cuts. Most likely cause is your glasses. Do you wear them when you sleep sometimes? Even so, they may cause minor ittitation that worsens. Get your glasses checked as they may be bent...Most likley cause.
