Seborhhea: Red cracked skin behind the ear fold is often an irritation of the oil glands. Try gentle soap/water cleaning - pat dry and apply an otc steroid cream. IF there is a heavy yellow crusting over the area it might be impetigo - a touch of neosporin may help. If this continues to happen have your MD confirm what the cause is.
