A few: When polycystic ovary syndrome patients conceive there is approximately a 30 to 50% chance of miscarriage if they are not on Insulin sensitizing agents such as glucophage (metformin). Also further on in pregnancy there's a higher risk of gestational diabetes when simple sugars are consumed in large quantities.
