Great procedure: Minimally invasive procedure for fibroids. 23 hr stay in hospital or outpatient procedure. Expect fibroids and uterus to shrink 40% by volume. Improvement in bleeding 90% of patients, bulk symptoms 85%.

UAE: Uae is a procedure to treat symptomatic fibroids, or those causing bleeding, pain, or bulk symptoms. Basically, a catheter is used to access the uterine arteries, which supply blood to the uterus. Small particles are then infused into the arteries to block them off. Because the uterus has other blood supply and fibroids are usually only supplied by these arteries, the fibroids die.
