Possibly.: Most likely, the original fracture may not have healed properly. You need a follow up x-ray to re-evaluate the toe.

Possibly...: There are three bones in each toe (except the big toe which has two). If you saw a doctor for the problem originally, you would have been told if more than one bone was involved. This is more than enough time for a fracture to heal, so you may have another problem here. See a podiatrist for another x-ray and treatment options.

Could mean : Many things. The best thing for you to do is to visit a foot doc and let them re-xray your foot and see your "red and sore" toe....This way they can see exaxtly what is wrong and treat you appropriately.

May not have healed: You need to see a podiatrist to at least have an x-ray done to make sure the bone has healed.
