That is the region: Of the 5th metatarsal base. Tis bone is commonly fractured. Did you have a recent trauma? One can also get tendonitis at this location of the peroneus brevis or tertius. I would pay a visit to a podcast who can x-ray the foot and help with treatment recommendation.

See Podiatrist: Several possibilities. Probably need x-ray to furhter evaluate. Sounds like you are referring to 5th metatarsal base with is subject to avulsion fracture.
