Depends: High thyroglobulin can be a sign of inflammation of the thyroid or it could be normal. If you have had thyroid cancer and had your thyroid removed then thyroglobulin is used to look for recurrence.

Thyroid tissues: It means you have thyroid tissues in your body. High level might indicates hyperthyroidism, inflammation or normal (just the way you are). If your thyroid is completely removed due to cancer, a rising thyroglobulin might indicate returning cancer.
