A member asked:

Dear doctor, my father is suffering from keratin pearls squamous cell carcinoma of intestine. i'm in pakistan and looking for help for his treatment.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex--good luck!: Most squamous cell carcinomas arise at the anus, although rare cases of it arising elsewhere in the intestines have occured. It is important to exclude a metastasis (a spreading) from another site, such as the lungs. With the appropriate therapy, including surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy a good outcome might be possible.
