Hi, my father has cancer and reports says as keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma, grade 2. is it curable? please explain.

Probably: I assume this is a skin cancer since it's keratinizing and if that's the case, it's highly curable. However, if it's squamous cell carcinoma of another organ, you need to tell us what organ before we can tell you how likely a cure might be.

Depends on primary: Squamous cell carcinoma is a cell type than can arise in many different organs in the body. For instance small squamous cell cancers of the skin can easily be cured while late advanced squamous cell cancers of the lung have very low cure rates. They can arise in most organs to include head and neck region, esophagus, lung, anus, cervix and vagina, as well as rarely in other parts of the body.
