Tooth ache: Check your local area for a free clinic or try a local dental school. These are your best choices without knowing the cause of the tooth ache (simply needs a filling or something more complex).

You need a dentist: Try to find a community clinic or dental school near you so that you can be seen by a dentist. It's vital to know what is causing the pain in order for it to be properly treated. Only a dentist can provide that service.

Advil and tylenol (acetaminophen): Sounds like an infected tooth. Make sure you see a dentist soon, to get that infection treated. Until you can get it, try alternating 200mg Ibuprofen with 2 extra strength tylenol (acetaminophen) every 3-4 hours. There are reduced fee dentists in every state. Call your state to find out where they are.

No good way: As harsh as this sounds, you really can't afford not to see a dentist. Toothache means advanced infection. There's no otc pill or salve that will "fix" your problem. Please seek help at free clinic, dental school, emergency room, medicaid facility, etc. Most dentists have extended payment plans available. Please go soon, before this becomes an intractable problem.
