No: 2 most likely explanations are trismus in which a muscle penetrated by the needle is now sore and resists opening of the mouth or is possibly in spasm, causing the swollen feeling. The other candidate is hemorrhage of a blood vessel inadvertently nicked during the injection forming a bruise in the jaw. While uncomfortable, these are both self limiting and will resolve over time. Icing/ibuprofen.

Was It Removed?: If your dentist only injected you and did not remove the wisdom tooth, the goal was primarily for pain relief. If the wisdom tooth is still present, you will likely need to have it removed.
