A member asked:

My 18-month old son has another ear infection immediately after the first one. what can i do to help him and to make sure it doesn't happen again? thx

A doctor has provided 1 answer

This may not : Be a new ear infection. The first episode did not get a chance to totally cleared up and your baby started with colds, stuffy , runny nose etc again. Not unusual for children to get several ear infections before they turn two since their eustachian tubes are not angulated to drain the fluid behind the ears. Close ff up and supportive treatment.
