Severe back pain at night only when i lie down..it literally takes my breath away..been to doctor they say it arthritis...i know my body i say no way.?

Arthritis: Most people relate arthritis to osteoarthritis which is commonly associated with aging and is often mild. But there are other types of arthritis (and sometimes even osteoarthritis) which manifests as severe pain. Maybe you need a consult with a pain management specialist.

Disagree: Severe back pain at rest is not related to arthritis. Seek a second opinion. Mri should be probaly done.
