Could be right: On what basis was asthma ruled out? Breathlessness to this degree is not to be ignored in an otherwise and previously healthy 18 yo woman, but asthma is not the only consideration here. A physician's job is to help you find answers or to help you to understand what is going on once they feel they've found those answers.
