Define "gastritis": Gastro means stomach; -itis means inflammation (so "gastritis" means an irritated stomach lining). The "antrum" is the last part of the stomach. "chronic" means longstanding, but is also a term applied both to endoscopic appearance of stomach inflammation as well as what the biopsies of your stomach tell us.
