Many: Amitriptyline, nortriptyline, cymbalta, lyrica, gabapentin, vimpat, (lacosamide) depakote, tegretol to name just a few. I avoid things like vicodin, percocet, oxycontin.

Available: Pain is quite common in ms, maybe present in 80-90% of pts. Best known is trig neuralgia, but other problems include aching over the back and legs, electrical sensations on flexing the neck, tonic spasms, pain associated with spasticity, etc. Opioids might work, but lyrica, (pregabalin) gabapentin, cymbalta, tramadol, or Butrans patch might be useful. Talk to your physician about these choices.
