It depends!: First of all, do not stretch cold before your body warms up first. Cold extremities and muscle could be hurt. The best streching is sporting activity specific. Therefore, if you plan on riding a bike, pedal slowly to warm up the muscles, tendons, and ligaments involded. Again streching is specific for whatever sporting activities you engage in. But warm up your body first!

Stretching. : It’s not harmful to stretch before a sport, but you should engage in a few minutes of low intensity exercise to warm up the muscles prior to stretching.
