Many things: Strep throat is a bacterial infection that will iften run its course in 5-7 days. Antibiotics are not always necessary in milder cases. Use of antibiotics can reduce symptoms and the patient is considered non-contagious within 24 hours. Gargle with warm salt water. Drink plenty of water. Little bit of ice cream for throat pain.
