Up to anesthesia : Depending on the anesthesia planned for the procedure, the presence of inflammation in the upper airway make you a poor candidate for any elective procedure. I would contact the doc as soon as the offices open and ask them specifically.

Surgeon's call: I am pretty conservative and tend to postpone elective surgery on patients with infections. Every surgeon has his or her own line here though.
