Broccoli: I like to saute broccoli with garlic and turmeric in olive oil. The active ingredients in turmeric such as curcurmin are being studied for their medicinal value, but at this time i know of no evidence that food-grade turmeric has an specific medicinal properties.

Many things: Turmeric has many proven health benefits. It's an anti-inflammatory,natural blood-thinner, supports liver and appears to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease, cancer and Alzheimer's disease. It can be as effective as drugs for depression. As a food should be mixed with coconut oil to enhance absorption or taken as Meriva or TherCumin: http://tinyurl.com/367cza and http://tinyurl.com/o7pg2jt
