Turmeric: Congrats on wanting to stop smoking! turmeric's anti-inflammatory activity can help a lot of things, including osteoarthritis and dyspepsia. Some are looking at it in the context of alzheimer's disease, but evidence isn't clear for that yet. I've never heard of turmeric being used to help quit smoking . . . Seeing your physician for nicotine patches, etc might be more effective. Good luck!
