Do it: I'll assume there are no other findings. Even if you are not a smoker, the chances of finding a curable cancer are high. The numbers aren't in yet, but my impression is that a good majority of these little things, if they're cancer, get a surgical cure. And knowing the nodule is there, you'll be much more at ease when you find out for sure what it is. Good luck.

Get the biopsy: A tissue diagnosis is required in order to tell what is causing the node to be hyper metabolic. Then a plan can be developed to treat whatever the cause is.
