A member asked:

What do i need to do after i've had a spider bite lanced?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Spider bites: These are seldom (actually rarely) spider bites. They are almost always due to staph aureus skin infection (these days mrsa). They will often resolve with incision and drainage alone, but sometimes may require a course of antibiotics if they recur or the infection appears to be spreading.
