A member asked:

If someone rolls eyes, passes out and goes very pale at your home, should you call 911 and what do you do while waiting? 92 declining cognition, dnr

ABC: It is not clear whether the person has had a seizure, stroke, or heart attack. But if a person collapses, call 911 and check for breathing and a pulse. If neither is present, consider CPR in a person who is not dnr. If a person is dnr and you are clear on that person's wishes, then open the airway and pulse. It is always best to have this discussion long before the person passes out...

Call your doctor: Based on your description, i would all your doctor to determine what to do. If the patient is dnr, he does not require CPR or other intervention acutely.
