My daughter has a wbc of almost 25 and has had hives for about 4 days. could the hives cause her wbc to be that high? no fever . she is 20 yrs old.

See below: No. But the most common cause of hives is a viral infection. And the viral infection can elevate a WBC count. Curious as to why a CBC was checked?

Need more info: A WBC of 25, 000/ml is quite high. Was she given antibiotics for some sort of infection and then developed hives? It may be an allergic reaction to the antibiotic or some other medication. Some infections can be accompanied by hives. What does the doctor say?
