Yes!: These symptoms can be due to a simple viral infection, or they can be due to something more complex. Since they've been going on for 4 months, it's time to see a specialist. A hematogist is a good place to start. He or she may send you to other specialists. Infection, a rheumatologic disorder, or a blood cancer (like leukemia) are possibilities. You need a diagnosis!

Probably not needed: The lab values you mentioned are not alarming on their own. In fact ESR is not very high, so that is somewhat reassuring. If your child is having periodic fever, probably you should consider seeing an infectious disease specialist first. Most fevers in children will be related to infection. Things to consider if not already tested include ebv and cmv, along with other local infections in your area.
