Call the Office : Keflex is in a class of medications called cephalosporins, a cousin to penicillin, and can cause a rash. The fever can be caused by either the infection for which she is taking the antibiotic, as well as the antibiotic itself in the setting of a mild reaction. I would call your doctor to let them know about the suspected reaction and let them advise you directly.
