Detox diet: The science behind 'detox diets' is weak at best, and potentially dangerous (when following extreme detox regmiens) at worst. Just maintain a healthy well-balanced diet leading into and following the surgery.

No you should not : Diet immediately before surgery for any reason as it may affect your healing. Controlled weight loss if obese before scheduling surgery will lower your risk of surgical complications. A detox diet otherwise makes no difference.
