Treatment: Depends on severity of symptoms. CVI will continue to progress, speed of progression is impossible to estimate. To prevent development of staining, brawny skin etc I woud recommend esrly vs late treatment.

Time for Surgery: Venous disease is progressive. My feeling is that if a patient presents with symptoms significant enough to come in and they have correctable venous disease on ultrasound it should be corrected. It never gets better and proper treatment rarely fails to improve the condition.
