Nasal obstruction?: A septoplasty surgery to fix and straighten a deviated nasal septum is a good idea if you are having significant nasal obstruction or symptoms. 21 years old is certainly old enough to undergo this procedure. By fixing the septum, your nasal airway and breathing should improve. See an ENT or facial plastic surgeon for an evaluation.

Yes, if indicated: Septoplasty to corrected a deviated nasal septum can be a life-changing surgery for some people with persistent nasal obstruction. This surgery is not for everyone and i always recommend that someone at least try medical management first to alleviate the symptoms. This might involve topical nasal steroids or anti-histamines. Your nasal growth is complete by 16-17 years-old so 21 is not a problem.

Septoplasty: If you have a deviated septum and nasal obstruction, a septoplasty is a good idea. Your age does not matter as long as you have stopped growing.
