Nerve issue: Pinched nerve in neck is most likely cause of your symptoms. Pain often occurs first, followed by numbness. Don't be surprised by appearance of weakness. So how long are you going to neglect this before you see a physician?

Neck evaluation: A ponched nerve in your neck can do this C6 nerve root can do this that would bbe a disc herniation at c5-6.

Consult Spine MD: This sounds very much like a herniated disk or pinched nerve in your neck. I would suggest going to have a neck evaluation with a spine surgeon.
