A member asked:

Is radioactive thyroid treatment also done with a injection or do you have to take a pill?

It is with pill only: Radioactive pill contains i-131 isotope containing radioactive iodine. Iodine is only needed by thyroid gland no other organs uses iodine. So once you swallow i-131 pill radioactive isotope labelled iodine absorbed from stomach and intestine and from blood it is trapped by thyroid gland to its maximum capacity and res is excreted by kidney into urine., and that is reason pt. Has to flush toilet

Orally: It's taken orally. Typically only one dose is needed then you will get a whole body scan about 2 weeks later to see where it had gone.
